KINDLE
To receive updates to your Kindle books automatically

To turn on the automatic backup* for your Kindle device in order to sync new content, follow steps 1-3 below.
1. Go to the Manage Your Content and Devices page
2. Select "Automatic Book Update" under the Settings tab
3. Select "On" from the drop-down menu
Note: The Automatic Book Update feature may not yet be available for markets outside of the U.S.
*Note that the following eReaders already have automatic updates on and you cannot turn them off: Fire HD, Fire HDX, Kindle for Android, Kindle for Windows 8, and Kindle for BlackBerry 10.
As a result, you cannot turn off the Annotations Backup.
NOOK
To update your NOOK
1. Launch the NOOK app software to trigger the automatic syncing of your purchases to your device.
2. You can also manually tap the 'gear' button in the lower right-hand corner of the navigation bar and then hit Account Settings.
3. This will open a screen to allow you to enter your login information which includes your account name and password.
4. Press Go and your information will be verified and then the contents of your on-line NOOK Library will be listed for you.
5. Then just browse your book listings and tap on the book you'd like to download to your device. A popup will confirm your request.
6. Press OK and the book will download to your device in the background, and you'll be notified when it has finished downloading.
KOBO
To update your KOBO
If using wifi
1. Sync — tap this icon to update your Kobo library using wireless internet connection
If using desktop
1. Connect your eReader to your computer using the USB cable.
2. Tap Connect on your eReader screen.
3. Open the Kobo Desktop application on your computer.
4. Select the eReader tab.
5. Click Sync.
